Interview Tips

For some, these tips may seem like no-brainers…but you’d be surprised what some folks think is appropriate during an interview. Consider this a quick review to serve as a reminder for those of you who haven’t interviewed in a while.

Before the interview:

If you have never been to the interview location, take a drive the day before to make sure you have good directions. The less stress you have before getting to the interview the better, and finding out MapQuest gave you bad information the day before your interview will alleviate that stress altogether.
Print extra resumes to take along to the interview. You may be surprised by interviewing with more than one person or someone that doesn’t have your resume at their fingertips. Be ready to offer one at all times.
Research the company on-line. Go to the company’s website. Read through their history, their mission, their products, etc. Make sure to read any news releases listed so you are familiar with current news items.
